Advanced Beginner Sewing: Upcycled T-shirt Bag - July 18 & 25, 10:30am-12:30pm

We've all got old t-shirts that we want to upcycle and preserve, but let's face it, not everyone wants to make a whole quilt. In this class, you'll learn how to prepare your shirts for sewing and then make a simple tote bag. 

Class Level: 2 - students should have basic sewing skills & be able to use a sewing machine.

Materials needed:

• T shirt
• 1/2 yard fusible interfacing
• 1/2 yard exterior fabric (quilting cotton)
• 1/2 yard interior fabric (quilting cotton)
• 5/8 yard canvas (1/2 yard if not pre-washing)
• 1 1/2 yards webbing (1” to 1 1/4” wide)
